Cover Changes, $0.99 Sales, and my 4th Book Release!

Before we get into all of my musings about my fourth book release, here are some fun announcements!

  1. You may have noticed that shortly after revealing the cover for The Anti-Relationship Year, The Anti-Virginity Pact also got a new cover! I love how they look together, and I think they fit the series so, so well.

  2. The Anti-Virginity Pact is also ON SALE to celebrate the release of The Anti-Relationship Year. You can get the ebook of TAVP for just $0.99 for a limited time (!!) If you haven't picked it up yet, now's the perfect time! Both books can be read as standalones, but it might be fun to read book 1 first since characters from book 1 do show up later in book 2! It might also be fun though to go back to book 1 after reading book 2 to see how much has changed! The sale is across all platforms, and it’s international. Check it out on Amazon, Kobo, iBooks, Google Play,B&N, and more.

  3. There's also a sale on signed paperback copies (original cover) on my website! (www.katiewismer.com/shop) If you use the code 99SALE, you'll get 20% off AND a free TARY bookmark!

On to the sappy post!

The Anti-Relationship Year's release is almost here (March 30!), and it's got me a little ~emotional~

TARY is the companion book to my first novel The Anti-Virginity Pact. They're both standalone books, but they also make a little series together. A series I first started writing for NaNoWriMo way back in 2014 when I was still in high school. The story has come a long way and the characters have changed a lot since I was seventeen. So although the "series" is only two books long, it also feels like closing a pretty big chapter in my life (it's been nearly *7* years!)

I had *so* much fun writing Jo's book and can't wait for you all to read her story. It's swoon-worthy and funny, but also covers some more serious topics. My absolute favorite part of it all has been seeing Jo's development from her senior year of high school to her senior year of college. Getting to write her at all of these different stages of her life and watch her grow ended up being a really unique experience that I hadn't yet encountered with any of my other characters. Tbh I kind of feel like a proud mom.

If you don't follow me on YouTube, you might not be familiar with the background of TARY. The Anti-Relationship Year actually is a book I never planned to write. I'd always seen The Anti-Virginity Pact as a standalone, and even though I knew where the characters would end up after the final page, I never wanted to write a sequel. But shortly after TAVP's release in the summer of 2020, I was feeling pretty stuck and discouraged about my writing. At the time, I'd been working on another series, which I decided to set aside indefinitely. I didn't know what would come next for me, and now that I had a book out, I also had a million other voices and opinions on my writing in my head.

So, for Camp NaNoWriMo in July I decided I wanted to write something that was just for fun and just for me. No one else would read it. No one else would know what it was about. It was just a passion project to get me out of my rut.

Yeah, well, that didn't last long.

I immediately fell in love with Jo's story, and writing her book was the fastest I've ever completed a project (and dare I say, the easiest?) After I turned it over to some of my beta readers who had read all of my previous work and they insisted this was their favorite thing I'd ever written, I realized maybe I wanted to publish the book after all.

So now we're here! I'm so excited for Jo's story to be in your hands, and I hope you love her (and Miller) as much as I do. You can preorder TARY here!

xx Katie

In the history of the NFL, few redemption arcs have been as dramatic—or as swift—as Saquon Barkley's. One year, he was the star running back the New York Giants couldn't bring themselves to pay. The next, he was hoisting the Lombardi Trophy with the hated rival Philadelphia Eagles, holding his daughter as confetti rained down, and etching his name into the record books as the most prolific single-season rusher the league has ever seen. The way you talked about shifting covers and reworking your book journey really highlights how publishing is not just writing, it is also learning how to reintroduce your work to the world. It reminded me of when I was trying to get my own writing project noticed, but the old cover and slow sales made everything feel stuck and discouraging. I was under pressure with school too, so I used online Biology exam taking service to handle my exam stress while I focused on rebuilding my project’s presentation. It made me realize that sometimes progress is not about doing everything alone, but knowing what needs a reset.

Useful information shared here. Many people struggle with credit issues and don’t know the right steps. A credit consulting service in State of VA can make the process easier to understand.

Helpful read. Consistent cleaning definitely saves time and stress. I think a biweekly cleaning service in San Marcos is a smart choice for working families.

To write about Chelsea Football Club is to trace the arc of modern football itself—a story of tradition abruptly intersecting with transformative wealth, leading to a relentless, often tumultuous, ascent to the summit of the game. Founded in 1905 in the affluent West London borough of Stamford Bridge, Chelsea long carried the air of the glamorous underachiever: a club with a famous home, a charismatic and celebrity-filled support, but a trophy cabinet that belied its stature. For decades, its identity was one of stylish flair and sporadic cup success, punctuated by the flamboyant sides of the 1960s and 70s. This all changed irrevocably on July 1, 2003, a date that marks the clearest "before and after" moment in football club…
